MERCI PARIS!
Some things deserve celebrating in style. Preferably in Paris, during Fashion Week, with a room full of friends.
After a very special few months at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, we gathered in Paris to celebrate a collaboration that has meant a lot to us. Having ATP Atelier at one of the city’s most iconic institutions has felt both surreal and completely natural. Le Bon Marché has always understood that good design is about more than how something looks. It is about craftsmanship, character and the pleasure of discovering something you want to keep.
For the occasion, we took over Vitra’s Paris showroom and made ourselves at home for the evening. Parisian high ceiling rooms, parquet floors, good lighting and even better company. Our shoes and bags moved in amongst design classics, while furniture from Artek brought a familiar piece of our Le Bon Marché pop-up into the space for the full Scandinavia-meets-Paris feeling. Consider it our home away from home, just with more champagne.
And because we take hosting almost as seriously as we take leather, there were drinks, fries, and plenty of reasons to stay longer than planned. Friends of the brand, collaborators and some of our favorite Paris people came by to eat, drink, try things on and celebrate with us. Shoes were discussed, bags were admired and both the drinks and fries disappeared suspiciously quickly.
As the evening unfolded, the space became exactly what we hoped it would be: less showroom, more Parisian apartment party. People moved between shoes, bags and design pieces, old friends met new ones, and somewhere between the first glass and the last cone of fries, Fashion Week felt a little less hectic and a lot more intimate. A room filled with beautiful things is nice. A room filled with likeminded, creative people is even better.
Mostly, though, the evening was about saying merci.
Merci to Vitra and Arket for helping our vision come to life. Merci to Le Bon Marché for inviting us into your world and giving ATP Atelier a Parisian home. To see our pieces sitting inside an institution that has championed fashion, design and culture for generations has made us incredibly proud. And merci to everyone who visited the pop-up, discovered us there, wore us around Paris or joined us for the celebration: thank you.
