The role
We are looking for a highly organized Merchandiser/Product Developer to join our team for a 1-year contract. In this role, you will not only coordinate product development but also play a crucial role in optimizing buying decisions, assortment planning, and sell-through analysis. Working closely with the Designer and Creative Director, you will oversee every step of the product life cycle, ensuring quality, sustainability, and alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Product Lifecycle Coordination: Own the product development process from concept to final delivery, taking responsibility for ensuring all deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Buying & Assortment Planning: Partner with sales and design teams to strategically plan and curate the product assortment, balancing market demands with business objectives.
- Sell-through Analysis & Re-buying: Monitor sales data and take the initiative to reorder high-performing items together with the DTC team.
- Production Timeline Oversight: Manage production timelines and samples, ensuring timely deliveries and clear communication with suppliers.
- Price Negotiation & Supplier Relations: Take ownership of building strong supplier relationships, negotiating prices, and ensuring deliveries meet expectations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and design teams to align production with key sales periods and customer demands.
- Sustainability Focus: Incorporate ATP Atelier’s sustainability values into all production activities.

- Strong Communication & Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain deadlines, and communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
- Academic degree from business school and/or textile education.
- 3+ years of experience in production, product development, or merchandising (preferably in footwear or accessories).
- Strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines, with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
- Business-minded and able to work independently in a fast-paced, small company environment.
- Fluency in English (Italian language skills are a plus).
